Adulteration is the process of adding unwanted substances to the food, with similar appearance/color for making profits. The most common adulterated food product is milk. Adulterated milk may contains toxic chemicals which can be hazardous to health.
KBRC has developed a color based detection technology for most common adulterants in the milk such as starch, soap, detergent, urea, neutralizer, etc. MILKOTEST kit developed by KBRC can detect adulterants along with pH of the milk with in few minutes. 2. Azolla Starter Kit
Azolla is a water floating fern and rich in protein(25-35%), vitamins, minerals, carotenoids, cholorophyll, etc. The rare combination of high nutritive value and rapid biomass production make azolla a potential and effective feed substitute for live stocks especially dairy cattle, poultry, piggery and fisheries. 10-15% increase in milk production among the dairy cattle has been reported because of regular use of azolla as feed.
There is grate need of low cost feed alternatives due to increasing prices of feed and complete ration for cattle. KBRC developed a technology for the rapid and organic cultivation of azolla. KBRC presents an azolla starter kit at a very low cost for the mass production of azolla by the farmers. 3. Soil & Water pH Testing Kit
pH of soil plays an important role in crop production. For effective crop production, optimum pH levels are required which may depend on the type of crops. Similarly the optimum pH of water is required especially for drinking water. Pollutants containing chemical fertilizers, heavy metals, etc. are responsible for pH variation in both cases.
Our soil and water pH testing kit can detect the soil and water pH level with in few minutes. 30-40 test can be performed using single kit. This kit is very economical and is easy to perform.

5. Soil Testing Kit
The optimum levels of nutrients (Macro and Micro) plays an important role for healthy crop production. Different crops/plants have different nutrient requirements. The optimum nutrient levels must be added before cultivation in the soil as per the plant requirement.
KBRC has researched and developed soil testing kit which can detect the presence of most common macro nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium (N,P,K) along with the pH of the soil. This kit gives color based detection of the nutrients and pH with in few minutes and is very economic and easy to use by farmers. 7 tests can be performed using this kit.
6. Water Testing Kit
Water is universal solvent it can dissolve a number of compounds in it. The impurities and pollutants (chemicals, fertilizers, etc.) may change the pH of water and alter the properties of water. The presence of such pollutants makes the water unsafe for drinking and daily purposes.
KBRC has researched and developed water testing kit which can detect the presence of chlorine and nitrate in the water along with pH. The presence of chlorine and nitrate above the acceptance level may be hazardous for human health. This kit can detect the level of chlorine and nitrate with in few minutes in the form of color based reaction. This kit is very effective, economic and easy to use. 20-25 tests can be performed using single kit.
